Module types
- B Basic: foundation modules shared across the university
- S Supportive: tools and skills that underpin the specialism
- C Core: the compulsory heart of the department
- E Elective: chosen by the student
Hours and workload
- CL, L, P, T: weekly class-lecture, laboratory, practical and tutorial hours
- SSWL: structured student workload per semester (contact hours plus exams)
- USSWL: unstructured workload (independent study)
- SWL: total workload. Roughly 25 hours of workload equals 1 ECTS credit
