SU Celebrates Kurdistan Flag Day
On Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, Kurdistan Flag Day was celebrated on the campus of Soran University (SU).
The ceremony was attended by AP. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, SU President, government and party officials, teachers, and students.
e event began with attendees wearing traditional Kurdish attire, marching, and displaying a large Kurdistan flag. Afterward, students raised the Kurdistan flag while listening to the Kurdish national anthem, "Ay Raqib."
The ceremony concluded with Kurdish songs and dances.
The Kurdistan Parliament designated December 17th as Kurdistan Flag Day in 2009. Since then, annual celebrations have been held across various cities in the Region.
