🔹 What is UNIMED?

Based in Rome, Italy, UNIMED is a prestigious international academic network founded in 1991. Today, it brings together more than 180 higher education and research institutions from across the Mediterranean region and beyond. UNIMED’s mission is to facilitate international academic and research cooperation to enhance scientific, cultural, social, and economic development.

Moving forward, this membership will unlock a wealth of opportunities for our students, researchers, faculty, and administrative staff, including:

International Research & Funding: Direct access to collaborative research projects and fundraising opportunities, particularly those supported by the European Union.

Academic Mobility: Expanded opportunities for student, faculty, and staff exchange programs with partner universities across the network.

Capacity Building: Participation in international workshops, training seminars, and roundtables designed to enhance university governance and quality assurance.

Thematic Sub-Networks: Opportunities for our researchers to collaborate within UNIMED’s specialized academic sub-networks on regional and global priorities.
