Soran University Concludes its 12th Annual Student Conference
On Thursday, April 30, 2026, in the presence of Asst.Prof. Dr. Rizgar Saeed Hussein, Vice President of Soran University for Student Affairs, along with faculty members and students, the 12th Annual Student Conference of Soran University successfully concluded its activities. The conference was held under the slogan “From Science to Capability”.
On the second day, sessions were held in the Farsat Sofi, Ismail Beşikçi, Shahid Zerevan, and Jazeri halls. Students from the Faculties of Arts, Science, Engineering, Education, Law, and Political Sciences presented 54 research papers and 13 posters across 15 panels.
Over the course of the two-day conference, students from various departments of Soran University presented a total of 64 scientific researches and 13 posters. The presented works were of a high scientific standard. Through these researches, important issues and challenges were identified, and practical scientific proposals and solutions were offered that can be beneficial across multiple fields, particularly for both the public and private sectors.
The main objective of the conference is to provide students with a platform to showcase their talents, capabilities, and scientific potential through research and academic studies. It also enables students to identify societal and scientific problems using their research, ideas, and intellectual outputs, while presenting suitable and practical solutions. Additionally, the conference creates an opportunity for the public and private sectors to become closely acquainted with the scientific activities of university students, fostering greater collaboration and mutual benefit.
To conclude the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rizgar Saeed Hussein distributed certificates of participation to the second-day panel moderators and panelists.
