Soran University Hosts a Training Course on Narcotics


On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Barzani Charity Foundation, in cooperation with Soran University, organized a one-day training course for the university’s lecturers as part of the National Campaign to Combat Narcotics project. A total of 26 lecturers participated in the training course. 
During the session, detailed and scientific information was presented about narcotic substances, their types, and their dangerous and deadly effects. 
At the conclusion of the training, the participating lecturers committed to raising awareness among their students about the dangers of narcotics through lectures and various activities.
The National Campaign to Combat Narcotics is one of the most important projects of the Barzani Charity Foundation. It operates in six different fields, with higher education being identified as one of the most crucial areas. This training course marked the first step in this field at Soran University. The training was delivered by Payman Hussein, the project lecturer.
