Soran University Holds an Entrepreneurship Training Course
On Monday, January 12, 2026, the Career Development Center of Soran University, within the framework of Soran University's strategic plan, launched a two-day entrepreneurship training course for lecturers from various departments across all faculties of Soran University. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University.
The course was organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Career Development Centers at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Directorate of Career Development Centers at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in partnership with UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) and the Rewanga Organization, has completed all preparations for this course. This includes the preparation and printing of a special curriculum for the entrepreneurship course, to be integrated into the official curriculum in universities across the Kurdistan Region.
Soran University has become the first university to open such an entrepreneurship training course for 45 of its own lecturers, to prepare them for the upcoming academic semesters. This subject will become part of the programs and curricula of future semesters in the various scientific departments of Soran University. In addition, preparations are underway to hold a training course on entrepreneurship skills in March 2026.
