Soran University Lecturer and Student Publish a Book about Life in Delyzian Village


On Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University, welcomed the authors, Dr. Habib Mustafa Ibrahim and student Bahzad Mohammed Marouf from the Law Department, who wrote the book “Life in Delyzian Village 1950–1970”.
During the meeting, the university president expressed his pleasure at the visit, congratulated the authors on writing and publishing this significant work, and reaffirmed Soran University's full support for the authors. In return, the authors thanked the president for his warm reception, respect, and the university’s commitment to advancing science and knowledge.
It is worth noting that “Life in Delyzian Village (1950–1970)” is a legal and historical anthropological study focusing on the lives of the people of Delyzian village. The book explores the social life and economic conditions of the village’s residents, aiming to understand their cultural, social, and value systems by highlighting the role of traditions and customs in their daily lives.
