Soran University and Northern Technical University Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, a delegation from Northern Technical University, Republic of Iraq, led by Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Attar, President of the university, visited Soran University (SU) and was warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University, along with members of the university council.
During the meeting, the SU President welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed his delight at their visit. In response, the President of Northern Technical University (NTU) thanked the University of Soran for their warm reception and expressed her appreciation for the university’s progress in academic and scientific fields.
Following in-depth discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two parties. The MoU aims to strengthen the relationship between the two universities and open new avenues for coordination in academic and scientific fields, particularly in enhancing the level of scientific research. 
As part of their visit to Soran University, the Northern Technical University delegation also visited the university’s Research Center to gain firsthand insight into its work and projects in the field of scientific research.
Later, the delegation, accompanied by SU President, visited the Soran Independent Administration. They were welcomed by Halgurd Sheikh Najib, and during a meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on various topics. The delegation then concluded their visit.
