Faculty of Education Marks the International PI Day with a series of Activities
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, the department of mathematics at the Faculty of Education- Soran University marked the International Day with seminars and educational activities. The event was attended by Soran University President Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas.
The activities included:
- A group of students performed a theatre depicting the Pi (π) number
- Finding an approximation to the PI number (Arkan Yousef and Holland Yasin)
- Application of Mathematics in Engineering and Architecture (Parwin Yousef Ahmad, Fatima Shukr Ibrahim, Hiran Rashid Haji)
- Pi (Hardi Mustafa Yousef)
- The Role of Mathematics in the Art of Drawing (Baran Mohammed Qadir)
- Mathematical Miracles in the Holy Quran, (Niaz Maher Abdulrahman)
- Famous Women Mathematicians (Shaima Jamil Saeed, Shaima Sofi Omar, Shilan Sofi Omar)
- Application permutation cryptography (Mohammed Hashim Ahmad)
