Soran University Hosts  several Educational Events

Soran University kicked off a series of educational events on Monday, February 10, 2025, under the theme "Reimagining Education: Critical Observations and Innovation for the Future." The events, run for three days.
SU President, AP.Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas welcomed attendees, including government officials, teachers, and students, and praised the organizers for their efforts.
 In his opening remarks, the SU President emphasized the university's commitment to the education sector. "We at Soran University pay special attention to the field of education," he stated. “ Our strategic plan is to work very carefully in this field." We also want to be part of the educational system,  and our goal is to build a proper and healthy education for the university and society. Soran University aims to have a systematic education to contribute to   a healthy society."
 SU President also called for open and detailed discussions about educational issues, and the need to identify the strengths and weaknesses within the current system.
The first day featured an open meeting titled "Another Understanding of Education, Questioning Common Viewpoints." Two topics were presented: "The University Between Higher Education and Higher Learning"  by Prof. Dr. Sirwan Zand, the  President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, and "A Critical Reading for an In-Depth Understanding of the Concept of Education," presented by Dr. Said Qadir Faqe.
The events continue with a workshop on "Artificial Intelligence and Education" on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, and a symposium on "Education at the Intersection of Theory and Practice" on Thursday, February 13, 2025, including two panel discussions.
These activities aim to clarify many educational concepts further, as researchers and experts work to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of education and how to lay sound and constructive foundations, on the other hand, artificial intelligence (AI) will be highlighted, identifying the positive and negative aspects of artificial intelligence and its impact on education.
