Soran University Public Library Opened After Its Renovation
On Sunday, 19 January 2025, in a ceremony attended by AP. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University (SU), members of the University Council, heads of scientific departments, directors of university directorates, teaching and employment staff, the public library of Soran University was opened in a modern and advanced form after its renovation.
From December 18, 2024, to January 18, 2025, the library's restoration was carried out in one phase at the expense of (SU) with 12 million dinars.
The renewal of the public library will facilitate teachers and students to search for books and resources more easily while providing a more comfortable environment for teachers and students to read.
Soran University's public library currently contains more than 45,000 books and 200,000 titles, including books, doctoral and master's theses, and journals in various scientific and literary fields.
