A Panel Discussion is held at SU on the Fall of Bashar al-Assad's Regime and its Political and Legal Implications
In the presence of the Soran University (SU) President, AP.Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, government and party officials, teachers and students, the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Administration, held a panel discussion entitled "The implications of the Fall of Bashar al-Assad's Regime Locally, Regionally and Internationally".
The panel discussed and evaluated the scientific, academic and political aspects of the current situation in Syria. The participants shed light on the latest Syrian developments that took place over the past two weeks. In part of the panel, a scientific and political reading of the international, regional and local dimensions and impacts of the fall of the Syrian regime after 2011 until the fall of Bashar al-Assad was conducted.
The participants also referred to the political equations and international conflicts after the departure of Bashar al-Assad. The panel also discussed the impact of the changes in Syria on the issue of Western Kurdistan, the Kurdistan Region , the status and future of the Kurds in the new Syria.
Moreover, the obstacles facing the prosecution of the collapsed Syrian regime under international law were highlighted.

Finally, a Q&A session followed, during which the audience raised numerous questions and comments.
