Green Education, a Roadmap for Addressing Climate Change at COP29 Conference

In the second week of the COP29 climate change conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, Prof Dr. Kamal Kolo was one of the keynote speakers in  the Green Education panel  at the Iraqi Pavilion. This panel focused on the role of education in preparing a conscious and knowledgeable generation to face the risks of climate change and other environmental issues.

Prof.Dr. Kamal Kolo  highlighted in detail the importance of green education at primary, secondary and university  levels, referring to initiatives carried out by Soran University (SU) students and graduates in collaboration with NGOs.

Finally, he referred to Soran University's education policy and how it is working to adapt and prepare a generation capable of coping  properly with the issue of climate change.

SU highly appreciates the active participation of the Climate Change Research Center in COP29 and believes that this is a correct and necessary scientific step that Iraq and the Kurdistan Region need.
