Soran University President’s Message for the New Academic Year 2024-2025

In the name of God, the Merciful and the Compassionate

I wholeheartedly congratulate all teachers, students, and employees on starting the new academic year 2024-2025.Also, I extend my sincere thanks to the students' families for their continued support for their beloved ones in the educational and academic process. Without their support, the process would have been fruitless. 

I would like to thank all those who have participated in the preparations for the new academic year to be different and better than previous years, with more enthusiasm, more scientific, a solid plan, excellent collaboration, and as a working group at the highest level, to hasten the achievement of the ultimate goals.
The university’s team, equipped with integrity and professionalism, consists of the University Council, college council, university administrators, teachers, staff, researchers, student volunteers, researchers, and lecturers. I would also like to thank all those who helped us achieve our objectives outside the university.
Dear ones:
After the completion of the past academic year, the University Council immediately decided to continue its strategic plan with a solid scientific plan in the hope of achieving our goals faster in the scientific, administrative, and financial fields as follows:

First: In the field of science, several courses and workshops were conducted for college councils and departments to enhance their scientific capabilities in further reflecting learning outcomes and designing coursebooks in a modern way, designing programs to meet the current requirements of the Kurdistan Region and the modern world. Furthermore, to prepare the ethical basis for the professional work of teachers and students alike, to work together and take responsibility for university work to build a healthy society.

Second: In the area of management, further work has been done to improve the university's e-infrastructure to accelerate administrative work, reduce administrative routine, and ensure greater transparency.
Third: In the financial field, work has been undertaken to reorganize revenues, reduce the financial burden on students, and find new sources of university revenues, as well as to provide new financial resources for the administration of university affairs, taking into account the financial situation in the Kurdistan Region.
Fourth: Concerning students' affairs, preparations have been made to receive the largest number of first-grade students and organize dormitories so that all conditions required by the Civil Defense for the protection of our students’ lives are met.

Finally, in the name of God and in the hope that it will be a year full of scientific activities and achievements with your efforts and strength, and to you all loyal to Soran University, we begin the new academic year at our university.
