A workshop on "Professional Ethics in Higher Education"

The Pedagogy Training Center and Academic Development organizes a workshop on "Professional ethics in higher education."

The professional ethics guide for Soran University lecturers was presented at the Pedagogy Training Center and Academic Development on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the presence of AP Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University.

 Department heads and deans’ assistants attended a workshop on "Ethics of the profession in higher education," which was delivered by Dr. Sirwan Zand, the president's assistant for scientific affairs.
At the beginning of the workshop, the ethics of the profession and its difference from social ethics were discussed.
Similarities and differences between the ethics of the profession and the rules and guidelines were covered in another part of the workshop.
The second section of the workshop was devoted to the introduction of the Professional Ethics Manual to Soran University lecturers, as well as the presentation of the framework and irregularities of the materials in the manual. 
It is worth mentioning that, starting with new academic year 2024-2025, Soran University will be the first public university in the Kurdistan region to have professional ethics standards and guidelines for lecturers and students.
