The Ceremony of the Seventh Session of the Pedagogy  Course Graduates is Held


 


On Sunday, January 12,  2025, the ceremony of the seventh session of the Pedagogy Course was held at Dr. Farsat Sufi Hall. The ceremony was attended by the President of Soran University (SU), AP. Dr. Shirwan Sharif Qartas, AP.Dr. Zhala Saeed Khattat, Director General at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, members of the Soran University Council, and teachers.
At the beginning of the event, Roshna Rashid Sabri, Director of the Pedagogy Training and Academic Development Center at SU, delivered a speech in which she congratulated the graduates of the seventh session and presented a statistic of the center's activities for the year 2024.
Afterward, the SU President gave a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and wished them success. He called on the graduating teachers to use the experiences and information they obtained during six months to serve the students in the best way that makes them competent to serve society. He also thanked the course supervisors and organizers.
In another part of his speech, the Rector referred to the importance that SU attaches to the field of education and said: "At Soran University, we have prioritized education, and for this purpose, we have always sought to serve the field of education with the best technologies and scientific innovations because education means a healthy and advanced society."
The ceremony also included the presentation of a scientific discussion panel entitled: Pedagogy, the Path to a Healthy Education:
 1- AP. Dr. Karwan Kakah Bra, a teacher at SU and panel moderator.
 2- AP. Dr.Zhala Said Khatat, Director General at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research: The Impact of Educational Training Courses on the Professional Development of the Teacher.
 3- Dr. Mohammedali Yaseen Taha Advisor, Council of Ministers  Scientific Research is a Key Pillar in the Professional Development of the Teacher.
 4- AP.Dr. Mohammed Amin Mohammed Ali, a teacher at Soran University: The Future of Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.
At the end of the ceremony, the SU President awarded the graduates of the course with graduation certificates.
Each year, The Educational Training and Academic Development Center at Soran University holds two to three pedagogical training courses. In the six-month pedagogical courses, teachers will be introduced to the topics of: Learning theories, assessment methods, teaching methods, linking education to the labor market, integrating technology with the teaching profession, and the importance of conducting scientific research to develop the professional capabilities of teachers.
 In the seventh session, 55 participants benefited from the course. The participants received six months of practical and theoretical training from experienced teachers and experts in education and were awarded graduation certificates today.
