Soran University Hosts a Scientific and an Academic Student Debate Competition
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the final round of the scientific and academic student debate competition at Soran University was held in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rizgar Saeed Hussein, Assistant to the University President for Student Affairs, Dr. Karmand Hamad, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Ali Yousif, Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with faculty members and students. The debate featured students from the third stage of the English Department in the Faculty of Arts and the fourth stage of the English Department in the Faculty of Education.
During the debate, students from both departments engaged in a scientific and academic discussion on the widespread use of "artificial intelligence" in the field of education.
Following an intense scientific and academic competition, the third-stage students of the English Department in the Faculty of Arts were declared winners based on the evaluation committee's criteria.
In conclusion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rizgar Saeed Hussein presented certificates to the participants and awarded the prize to the winning third-stage students of the English Department.
The competition, organized jointly by the English Departments of the Faculties of Arts and Education, aimed to enhance students' scientific and linguistic skills, improve their expression for the job market, and develop their abilities in discussion and debate.
