Soran University Hosts "The Dissolution of the Middle East" Seminar
On Sunday, April 20, 2025, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University, members of the university council, Halgurd Sheikh Najib, Supervisor of the Soran Independent Administration, along with faculty, staff, and students, Soran University hosted a seminar titled "The Dissolution of the Middle East" for the writer, academic, and Middle East affairs expert, Dr. Adel Bakhawan.
In the seminar, Dr. Adel Bakhawan provided a scientific and academic analysis of the current and future political, economic, geographic, and military situation in the Middle East, as well as its longstanding issues. He highlighted the causes of the region's problems, the consequences of conflicts, and the plans and changes in the new Middle East map, along with their future impact on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Within the framework of the seminar, Dr. Adel Bakhawan presented his latest work, a book titled "The Dissolution of the Middle East," to the attendees.
Later, the floor was opened for discussion, and several comments and questions were raised.
In conclusion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, President of Soran University, awarded the University’s gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Adel Bakhawan.
