Soran University Participates in “The Global Summit on Constitutionalism” in the US


On March 20-22, 2025, the third "Global Summit on Constitutionalism" was held at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in the United States, with the participation of researchers and experts in constitutional law, as well as presidents and members of constitutional courts.
In this global academic event, attended by more than 300 researchers from 60 different countries, several lectures and research papers were presented. Dr. Hassan Mustafa, a lecturer of constitutional law at the Faculty of Law, Political Sciences, and Administration at Soran University, represented Soran University and was the only researcher from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He participated in the conference by presenting a research paper titled: "Constitution without Constitutionalism: Challenges of Constitutional Governance in Iraq."
The Global Summit on Constitutionalism is a comprehensive international conference held biennially at the University of Texas at Austin in the state of Texas, United States. During the summit, researchers and experts in constitutional law discuss and explore topics related to constitutional thought, comparative constitutionalism, constitutional design, and the challenges and obstacles facing constitutional governance.
